Section 1: Victoria - Swanley We take the route of a Faversham stopping service running via Peckham, Catford, Bellingham and Ravensbourne before rejoining the main route at Shortlands. We continue onwards to Bromley South, Bickley, St Mary Cray and Swanley.
Section 2: Swanley - Rochester Farningham Road, Longfield, Meopham and Sole Street are all visited on a rainy day. We see our service crossing the river to arrive at Rochester.
Section 3: Rochester - Sittingbourne After watching services arriving and departing we visit Chatham, Gillingham, Rainham and Newington. On arrival at Sittingbourne we leave the main line journey for the start of the next section.
Section 4: Sheerness - Ramsgate Our VEP set is waiting for departure at Sheerness-on-Sea. We travel through Queenborough and cross the lifting bridge at Swale. Returning to Sittingbourne we travel to Teynham. At Faversham the route via the coast is taken and we call at Whitstable, Herne Bay, Birchington-on-Sea, Margate, Broadstairs and Dumpton Park before terminating at Ramsgate.
Section 5: Dover Western Docks - Faversham Travelling back in time to 1978 we see our first departure from Western Docks. From Dover Priory we visit every station on the route to Faversham, where this journey finishes.
